Dreams dispersed upon waking to the sound of a yowling Rosa chasing out the big yellow cat who scarfs the food of others. I congratulated her, her habitual indulgence having no justification with scarfers of other’s food.

Coincidences — at least, what we call by that name when elements of reality relate with others, for no apparent reason. Such as the illustration on the column dated June 29 2022 (which I use again here). Yesterday, between reflexions, long siestas and reading, I was at page 499 in Elixir. In her quest for plants, and of meaning, the author was on the outskirts of a village known as Good Place, near a spring bearing the following inscription : SILVER MINERA WATER OCULAR ILLNESSES; at that point, she is in those Balkans torn apart so many many times, at the heart of her exploration of phenomena of healings (and of healers”, “like the electron, removed from linear time. So was this entire place. But then, where were we? We were near water…I ventured into the small stone basin where the water gathered before flowing into the affluent and let my feet soak it in. Then I splashed it on my eyes. The springs in Good Place have always been associated with eyes.” A man walks by; he also splashes water on his eyes. “It was a secluded place. Wherever water is pure, and free-flowing in a secluded place, one can sense a presence. Plunging my hands in it, I felt the presence of water nymphs, those water creatures according to our friend Paracelsus to whom we owe the notion of the four elemental sprits. The water nymphs transmit to our cells information from the primordial oceasn they have them travel from the sources born on the higest plateaus into the container in which the old sage holds our fate between her hands. Our fate resides in our cells. Our fate, is water.” One of the old sages she had met had explained to. her the four indispensable elements for breaking spells: a mantra, a gesture, a plant and the fourth, described as “magical”: the intention. And to heal the eyes, she had recommended : “pick a plant you love and go to a living spring of water. Wet the plant, run in across your eyes from left to right and say these words : “the king’s court is burning, no one is there to extinguish the fire, you, sister water mine, you will stop it” (three times), then throw away the plant and leave.”

No, I’m not a subscriber to rites, rituals or customs, nor to shamans nor priests nor politicians. Since I’m not a “subscriber”, I can dip into whatever suits me, wherever I find it.

It so happens quite simply that I much love this formula : “The king’s court is burning, no one is there to extinguish the fire, you, sister water mine, you will stop it”. What’s certain is that all the living, to which we belong, has a vital need of water of which it is deprived for the benefit of machines grinding down meaning. I can’t say whether our world will recover from it. All I know is that the living should have the donkey as its Sacred Figure.

Planned reunion with the South African, this morning. The mixture brews concerning the girl and her mother, the Forbidden One, in the fallen rocks of the Valley of the Fogs.
