Rêves : les “archipels de cités libres” des oligarches étaient comme des villes invisibles qu’Italo Calvino n’avait pas répertoriées dans son livre (Les villes invisibles), elles flottaient au-dessus des anciens parcs nationaux débarrassés par Elon Musk de leurs garde-forestiers et autres surveillants; en protestation, certains voulaient sortir et contester les interdictions, d’autres disaient “non, surtout pas, ça leur donnerait l’excuse pour nous abattre, d’autres encore disaient “que ceux qui veulent contester y aillent, que les autres gardent les enfants des contestataires et les adoptent, au besoin”, mais l’affaire ne se réglait pas.

Rêves directement inspirés par mes lectures d’hier, notamment du texte fondateur des oligarches dans ce domaine, The Sovereign Network State: the Crypto’s End Game (L’Etat-Réseau souverain: le but ultime des cryptos ou, comme on les appelle aux Etats-Unis, les “crypto-bros” – Elon, Thiel, Armstrong, et autres influents tels Srinivasan dont je n’ai jamais entendu parler ). Selon eux, “Alors que les États-nations vacillent, les réseaux souverains – des communautés alignées sur la chaîne avec des aspirations à l’indépendance – émergeront comme le prochain paradigme politique mondial.” Conçue dès le départ comme une façon d’échapper aux gouvernements “prédateurs” (les taxes, les impôts, tout ça), les crypto-monnaies sont le repaire des mafias, groupes terroristes et autres infréquentables, mais tout ça, fait partie de la “liberté”, version oligarques.

Mise à part la Démocrate Elisabeth Warren, tous et toutes, des deux côtés de la Chambre et du Sénat semblent sous le charme des “promesses” de la crypto-monnaie, Trump en faisant même la promotion, non seulement en y investissant personnellement, mais avec la création d’une réserve stratégique américaine, causant, sans surprise, un hausse immédiate en valeur des cinq monnaies qu’il identifie : XRP, Solana, Cardano, Ethereum et Bitcoin.

Impression de regarder une version contemporaine du joueur de flûte de Hamelin, vêtu d’un costume multicolore et entraînant tous les enfants de la ville à la suite, au son de sa flûte magique. Et tout ça, pourquoi ? Parce que la ville ne l’avait pas payé à son goût pour ses services de dératiseur. C’est la différence fondamentale avec la version actuelle où c’est le dératiseur qui a favorisé la prolifération des rats, croyant ainsi se faire plus de fric.

Et tiens, le hasard en semble assez peu credible vu les histoires circulant au sujet de Trump et les images diffusées par la Russie sur la Première Dame américaine, cette dernière – dont le désintérêt pour la chose politique est bien connu – proposerait une loi punissant la publication d’images “graveleuses”. Oui, enfin, ça dépendra qui sera pointé par l’image en question, sans aucun doute.

Ah, faire copain-copain avec Poutine, ça à un de ses coûts…

Dreams directly inspired by my various readings last night, notably of the foundational text for oligarchs in this matter, The Sovereign Network State: the Crypto’s End Game (this being the ultimate aim of the “crypto-bros” – Elon, Thiel, Armstrong, and other influential ones such as one Srinivasan I had never heard of before). According to them “As Nation States falter, Sovereign Networks – aligned onchain communities with aspirations of statehood – will emerge as the next global political paradigm”. Conceived from the onset as a way of evading all governmental “predations” (taxes and all that), crypto-currencies are the den of mafias, terrorist groups and other unfrequentables, but all that is part of “freedom”, oligarch style.

Apart from Democrat Elisabeth Warren, all of them, on both sides of the Chamber and of Senate appear to be under the charm of the “promises” held by crypto-currencies, Trump even promoting them, not only by investing personally in them, but with the creation of a “strategic American reserve” causing, unsurprisingly, an immediate surge in the value of the five currencies he identified: XRP, Solana, Cardano, Ethereum et Bitcoin.

I get the impression of watching a contemporary version of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, dressed in his multicolored costume and attracting all the children of the town to follow him, thanks to the sound of his magic flute. All that, why ? Because the town had not paid him sufficiently for ridding it of rats. That’s the basic difference with the current version where the ratcacher is the one who encouraged the proliferation of rats, thinking he would make more money that way.

And speak of an unlikely coincidence seeing the stories circulating both about him and following the images of the American First Lady shown on Russian television: the First Lady – whose lack of interest in politics is well known- would be proposing that a bill be voted forbidding the publication of “salacious” images. Yes, well, all will depend on who is targetted by said images, no doubt.

Oh, playing buddy-buddy with Putin comes with a heavy price tag, no doubt about it.
