Sans même s’attarder sur le reste des catastrophes mondiales en cours, le simple fait qu’un Donald Trump et un J.D. Vance soient des candidats reconnus officiellement à la présidence et la vice-présidence des Etats-Unis indique que les démocraties occidentales ont franchi une “ligne rouge” dont elle n’arriveront pas à se remettre.

C’est du moins mon impression et je n’ai rien d’autre à dire, ce matin.

Without even looking at the other ongoing world catastrophes, the simple fact that a Donald J. Trump and a J.D. Vance can be officially acknowledged candidates for the presidency and the vice-presidency of the United States is an indicator that Western democracies have crossed a “red line” from which they will not manage to recover.

At least, this is my impression and I have nothing else to say this morning.
