Révision : oui, à la première personne du singulier, le texte se lit beaucoup mieux; à savoir s’il intéressera les autres, je ne sais pas mais c’est le cadet de mes soucis pour l’heure. Il va tout de même falloir que je sorte un peu, prendre l’air, renouveller mes ordonnances à la pharmacie, passer chercher des sous à la distributrice – les trucs du quotidien. Mais le fait d’avoir l’impression que le texte se rapproche enfin de ce que j’espère exprimer, c’est l’essentiel pour moi en ce moment.

Ecouté un podcast d’une émission avec André Markowicz et Françoise Morvan, hier soir. J’avais déjà entendu la voix d’André Markowicz et j’étais curieuse d’entendre celle de Françoise Morvan. Oui, elle ‘sonne’ à l’oreille comme je l’imaginais. Je découvre l’histoire de la création des éditions Mesures, le travail avec les enfants, leur amour conjoint de Pasternak (et leur abandon ‘définitif’ de toute tentative de le traduire, ce qui m’intrigue.) Je me demande aussi si le travail que fait André Markowicz sur l’oeuvre du poète américain Charles Reznikoff fera partie des oeuvres disponibles dans la saison V ou VI des éditions Mesures.

Sur The Kyiv Independent, je lis que les cas de corruption font l’objet d’une enquête active. Le contingent des pro-Poutine en feront sans doute des tonnes à ce sujet. Personnellement, je leur rappellerais que la ‘douce France’ a l’insigne honneur d’avoir un ex-président de la République poursuivi dans je ne sais plus combien d’affaires et d’être déjà sous le coup d’une condamnation dans au moins l’une d’elle. La corruption se trouve partout, dans un Etat de droit, la loi, aussi imparfaite soit-elle, a pour fonction de la juger; au contraire d’un pays (pour nommer la Russie) où le ‘parlement’ vote une ‘loi’ permettant aux élus de ne pas révéler leurs sources d’enrichissement…

Revision: yes, in the first person singular, the text reads much better; whether it will be of interest for others, I don’t know and it’s the least of my worries for the time being. Still, I’ll have to go out a bit for a breath of fresh air, a prescription renewal at the pharmacy, pick up some cash at the bank – the daily-level stuff. But having the impression that the text is finally approaching what I wish to express, that’s the essential thing for me right now.

* Last night, I listened to an interview of André Markowicz and Françoise Morvan (in French, obviously.) I had previously hear the sound of André Markowicz’ voice and I was curious to hear that of Francçoise Morvan. Yes, she “sounds” to the ear as I imagined she would. In the interview, I discover the stor of the creation of their publishing house, the work with children, leur common love of Pasternak (and their “definite” renouncing at any attempt at translating him, which intrigues me.) I also wonder if André Markowicz’ translation of the American poet Charles Reznikoff will some day be one of the works available in Season V or VI of Éditions Mesures.

On The Kyiv Independent , I read that instances of corruption are being actively investigated. The pro-Putin contingent will probably wax lyrical on the topic. Personally, I would remind them that lovely France has the signal honor of having an ex-President of the Républiques with I forget how many legal matters before the courts, and already with a condemnation in at least one of them. Corruption is found everywhere; in a State under the rule of law, no matter how imperfect, the law serves to deliver judgment on it; contrary to a country (to name Russia) where the ‘parliament’ votes a ‘law’ authorizing the elected members not to reaveal their sources of enrichment…
