Ah, le pauvre. Je le dis sincèrement pour ce qui du pommier qui n’a pas survécu à la sécheresse. Et je le répète avec toute l’ironie qu’il mérite parce qu’un diplomate qui ne mesure pas la portée de ses mots, c’est vraiment un comble. Surtout lorsque son “explication” ne fait qu’empirer les choses. Je fais référence à un certain Mikhail Ulyanov.

“Tenez compte du contexte, vraiment, c’est épouvantable, j’aurais dû m’en douter, vous êtes tous des ….” et cetera. Parce qu’en fait, lorsqu’il a écrit: “Pas de pitié pour la population ukrainienne!“, ça voulait dire: “voilà, à cause des envois d’armes à l’Ukraine par les Etats-Unis, tous les ukrainiens vont mourir.” Vous voyez. La mort de tous les ukrainiens sera la faute des Etats-Unis. L’invasion russe et ses bombardements sans discrimination sur les civils n’y sont pour rien. Si les Etats-Unis ne s’en mêlaient pas, la Russie pourrait les exterminer tous. Mais ça ne serait que justice en raison de leur ingratitude.

Le contexte. Ça change tout.

Mikhail Ulyanov n’est pas le premier venu. Il est le représentant permanent de la Russie à l’agence internationale de l’énergie atomique à Vienne. En consultant certains de ses commentaires précédents, il est évident que sa mission principale est de faire de l’obstruction à tous “les mensonges à visée politique” demandant à la Russie “de cesser toutes activités à l’encontre d’installations nucléaires” – c’est-à-dire l’occupation militaire illégale et criminelle dans un pays voisin des installations nucléaires destinées à la production d’électricité.

Bref, il fait son boulot. Son boulot exige qu’il mente, il est d’accord pour le faire, il s’y conforme du mieux qu’il peut. Vu “le contexte”, il aurait intérêt à se relire avant d’appuyer sur la touche ‘publier’, entouré comme il est de faschos racisés à la botte des Etats-Unis. Je suis prête à parier qu’il a même un ami qui est ukrainien.

Mais les gens avec une horloge coucou en guise de cerveau ne sont pas tous à Vienne, peu s’en faut. Une locale au cerveau givré et grande admiratrice de Poutine, a demandé si le traducteur André Markowicz croyait vraiment que Dostoïevski aurait approuvé qu’il se charge de traduire son oeuvre. Euh…Je n’ai pas encore compris en quoi la traduction de Crime et Châtiment par Markowicz mettait en péril “l’empire eurasien” mais, il est évident que fasciste racisée comme je suis, il n’y a rien à attendre de moi.

Ah, poor thing. I say it sincerely when it comes to the apple tree that didn’t make it through the drought. And I repeat it with all the irony it deserves because a diplomat who does not weigh his words is really beyond the pale. Especially when his “explanation” only makes matters worse. I’m referring to one Mikhail Ulyanov.

“You should take note of the context, really, this is outrageous, I should have known, you are all...” etc. Because when he wrote : “No mercy to the Ukrainian population!” it was supposed to mean: “there you go, because of the arms shipments to Ukraine by the United States, all the Ukrainians will die.” You see. The death of all Ukrainians will be the United States’ fault. The Russian invasion and its indiscriminate bombings on civilians have nothing to do with it. If the United States stayed out of it, Russia could exterminate them all on its own. That would only be justice, given their ingratitude.

Context. Changes everything.

Mikhail Ulyanov is not just anybody. He is Russia’s permanent representative at the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna. In consulting some of his earlier comments, it becomes apparent that his main mission consists of stonewalling against “intentional politically motivated lies” requesting “Russia to cease all actions against nuclear facilities” – which is to say the illegal and criminal military occupation of a neighboring country’s nuclear-powered civilian installations.

In other words, he’s just doing his job. His job calls for lying, he’s willing to do it, and he does so as best he can. Given “the context”, he’d be well advised to read over his words before pressing on the “publish” key, surrounded as he is by fascist racists serving the United States’ interests. I’m willing to bet he even has a friend who is Ukrainian.

But the folks with cuckoo clocks for a brain are not all in Vienna, far from it. One local addled one with great admiration for Putin took her nerves out on translator André Markowicz by asking him if he really thought Dostoyevsky would have approved of him translating his work. Uh…I’ve yet to figure out how Markowicz translating Crime and Punishment imperils the “Eurasian Empire” but given I’m a racist fascist myself, there’s nothing to expect from me.
