Ah, contente de voir que Kedistan publie la première partie de l’entrevue avec l’artiste guatémaltèque Rebecca Lane (Rebecca a adopté le nom d’une de ses tantes, artiste qu’on a “disparue” durant les années de guerre au Guatemala). Le hip-hop n’est pas mon genre de musique préféré, mais elle a plein de choses intéressantes à en dire, ainsi qu’au sujet de l’art en général, la musique, les mouvements de femmes… À lire en français, en anglais ou en espagnol.

Et à noter, ce que Graeber et Wengrow dans The Dawn of Everything appellent les trois libertés fondamentales :

1. la liberté de partir et d’aller voir ailleurs (la liberté de mouvement)
2. la liberté de passer outre ou de désobéir à des ordres

Oh, I’m glad to see Kedistan has put on line the first part of an interview with Guatemala artist Rebecca Lane (Rebecca adopted the name of one of her aunt’s, an artist who was ‘disappeared’ during the wars in Guatemala.) I can’t say hip-hop is one of my favorite kinds of music, but she has plenty of interesting things to say about it, about art in general, music, women’s movements…Worth reading, in French, English or Spanish.

And worth noting what Graeber and Wengrow call the three basic freedoms in The Art of Everything:

1. the freedom to move away or relocate from one’s surroundings
2. the freedom to ignore or disobey commands issued by others, and
3. the freedom to shape entirely new social realities, or shift back and forth between different ones.

Everything else flowing from those three.
