Une phrase griffonnée sur un bout de papier, comme c’est mon habitude, à côté du nom de l’écrivain américain Don DeLillo; donc, probablement extraite de son formidable roman paru en 1997, Underground: “while more pervasive dread brought on by too much to think about and not enough to do” (alors qu’une angoisse envahissante survient de trop de choses auxquelles penser, et pas assez à faire.)

Ce qui résume assez bien l’état d’esprit engendré par trop de temps passé sur les réseaux qu’on dit sociaux, et pas assez à se bouger de façon utile en-dehors du monde virtuel.

(Il ne s’agit nullement d’une critique concernant le titre d’Hannah Arendt sous le bout de papier mais d’un simple rappel de la nécessité du contact humain direct “en vrai”, au moins de temps en temps.)

Which pretty much summarizes the state of mind engendered by too much time spent on so-called social networks, and not enough spent moving in some useful way outside the virtual world.

(Not to be taken as a criticism of the book by Hannah Arendt under the scrap of paper. Just a reminder of the need for face-to-face human contact in “real” time, at least from time to time.)
