Right side up

I often ask myself if there’s any point in talking to people who don’t want to hear what I have to say. Then, I tell myself: since they’re saying what suits them, I can’t see why I need to shut up any more than they do.

Therefore, today’s contribution to the massive distractions out there: a photo illustrating part of a collage on one of my bookshelves and yet another chance for you, you or you, to sign the petition asking for Asli Erdogan’s release from prison where she is held for the “crime” of writing  about… war crimes. Boo. Not done. Raise the volume on Jingle Bells, please.

Wouldn’t mind if justice in the real world didn’t play like an upside-down circus stunt for once. I’d  even consider that magic enough for this so-called festive season.

Amen and so on.  (The clowns: from Cirque Trottola & Petit Théâtre Baraque’s show Matamore. The pomegranate postcard: photo by Marielle Duffet).
