This isn’t about despair

“During a tense gathering of senior officials at an off-site retreat, he gave the assembled group a taste of his leadership philosophy, according to one person who attended the meeting and insisted on anonymity to discuss classified matters. Mr. Flynn said that the first thing everyone needed to know was that he was always right. His staff would know they were right, he said, when their views melded to his. The room fell silent, as employees processed the lecture from their new boss.”Read here for more on Michael T. Flynn, Donald J. Trump’s pick as National Security Adviser.

No, this isn’t about despair. This is about knowing more on who’s out there.

For now: Sunday market, then a ride to Albi for a look at a collective shelter for a boy whose “living choices” are down to a disaffected industrial building or the sidewalk. I wish the boy were smarter because that might improve his chances at doing more than surviving. But then again, who knows? Smarts aren’t everything or we wouldn’t be taking in all of the dismal consequences foisted on us by those supposed to be the best and the brightest.

Allez? Onward, and so on.
