From now on, I’ll make a point of leaving this town and the phone behind on a regular basis. Just to hear what’s going on in my own head relative to the piece of fiction I’m trying to pull together. To see other faces, to hear other voices. To remember I exist outside other people’s expectations. To read and write away from the familiar, and the way it blurs people, things and events into insignificance.
